Martz to use Walker in 2008: New 49ers offensive coordinator Mike Martz has been pleasantly surprised by TE Delanie Walker. A wide receiver in college, Walker always has shown quick hands and elusiveness after the catch in practice. But he has been lightly utilized in games, reports the Sacramento Bee. Martz was so impressed with Walker during organized team activities (OTAs) that Martz has over the past two weeks installed new plays just for him. "He has some real wow factor to him," Martz said. "You talk about some jets and some ability to run and eat up the field. Holy cow. I didn't know anything about Delanie until I got here." (Updated 06/24/2008).

Fantasy Analysis
Look for Walker to play behind starter Vernon Davis, but Davis has missed time the past two years. Walker is a low-end Fantasy TE, but if he plays well, he could be useful off the waiver wire. Don't plan on drafting him in any Fantasy leagues in 2008. (Updated 06/24/2008).
