Sean Lee will help neutralize Marshawn Lynch, while Oakland will struggle to contain Alfred Morris and Rod Smith, who are doing a perfectly acceptable job for Dallas in place of Ezekiel Elliott, who returns next week. The Raiders will also be without Amari Cooper again, and while Derek Carr will still get his, Dak Prescott should be able to pick apart the Oakland secondary with even greater ease. This screams like a spot where the Cowboys -- who have outscored opponents 68-24 over their last two games -- should roll, while the Raiders (after squeaking out wins against a couple lightweights) drop their fourth straight game to a quality opponent.
Amari Cooper is out and Derek Carr won't be able to keep pace with Dak Prescott. Not with the Cowboys facing the league's easiest pass defense; opposing passers have recorded an eye-popping 105.3 rating against Oakland. Lay it with the Cowboys.
Both these teams are in the playoff hunt and, while Oakland has an easier path, it's the Cowboys who could actually do some damage in the playoffs. Ezekiel Elliott isn't back until next week, but the past two weeks the Cowboys offense has scored 30 and 38 points. The Raiders offense, without Amari Cooper again, can't keep up with that. Sean Lee returning has also greatly helped the Dallas defense. Cowboys get the cover Sunday.
The Cowboys' defense looked like a brand new group with LB Sean Lee back in the fold. They were able to stop the run and shut down the Giants' passing game last week. New team, new matchup and challenges on Sunday night. However, because the Cowboys are still in must-win mode, they’ll still have the same aggressive mindset against the Raiders. I like Dallas to win and cover.
