This line has gotten out of hand. I'll back the Giants to be competitive despite their distractions. The Rams haven't been this big of a road favorite in well over a decade. Take the points.
This pick seems a little too obvious, and the public agrees, hammering the Rams. But just because it's obvious doesn't mean it's necessarily wrong. The Rams are 3-0 on the road, including wins over quality teams like the Cowboys and Jaguars. Wade Phillips' defense has really come around in the team's last three games, giving up just three TDs in that stretch. The Giants remain in turmoil, with Janoris Jenkins the latest member of the secondary in the doghouse. This will probably be a low-scoring game in the first half, but I like the Rams to open up the lead after the break and cruise to yet another road win.
Five of the Rams' games this season have gone Over and I like it to happen again Sunday I'm expecting the Giants to play one of their better games offensively as they come off the bye. Their last two stayed Under, but those were against Denver and Seattle's defensive units, and they had no game-ready receivers. Light rain is expected, but wind shouldn't be a factor.
Take the points but don't be surprised by an outright Giants' win. Pressure-style defenses still affect Jared Goff and the Rams' passing game.
