Last week we got to see the new-look NY Giants with less talent and experience at wide receiver. The Giants will be very conservative running the clock and trying to play field position. Seattle is still trying to find its offense, while its defense remains strong. Go Under.
Seattle is coming off long rest, but I think they're in trouble anyway. The Giants showed last week that they can have success despite their ravaged receiving corps, and they managed to score 23 against another elite defensive team in Denver, thanks in large part to Ben McAdoo giving up the play-calling duties and the emergence of Orleans Darkwa in the running game. The Seattle defense isn't exactly great against the run (4.9 yards per carry allowed). The Seahawks have massive problems on the offensive line, including Luke Joeckel being ruled out, and that spells trouble against the Giants' front four. I also like fading the Seahawks as huge road favorites going cross country.
This is going to be a low-scoring game, as even if Sterling Shepard is able to play, the Giants are taking a limited receiving corps into a matchup with an elite defense. On the Seattle side, they're missing Luke Joeckel from an already terrible offensive line, and that's going to limit their offensive ceiling. I expect this to be a close, low-scoring game, and it's worth grabbing Under 40 while it's available.
I'm projecting 32 points for Seahawks-Giants, giving us a strong play on the Under. The Under is cashing in a whopping 73 percent of my simulations.
