Wright played two seasons with New Jersey before he was acquired by the Mavs on Feb. 19 as part of the deal that also brought Jason Kidd to Dallas. In 56 games, he averaged a career-high 6.3 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.4 assists. Wright was never used much by head coach Avery Johnson despite some brief success off the bench earlier in the season with the Nets. Johnson won't be back with the Mavs next season and there is a possibility he could see some significant playing time with the coaching change.
