Biedrins headed to Europe also?: Less than a week after the Hawks lost Josh Childress to Greek team Olimpiakos, the Contra Costa Times reports that there are several European teams interested in unsigned Warriors center Andris Biedrins. (Updated 07/25/2008).

Fantasy Analysis
Biedrins is said to be drawing strong interest by a couple of Russian teams, including deals in the 3-5 year range at $10 million a year. The Warriors will likely only be able to offer him something in the $48 million range for six years. Plus, Biedrins would be playing closer to his Latvian home if he heads to Russia, obviously. It's something to pay attention to, especially if you own Biedrins in a keeper league. Al Harrington and Ronny Turiaf would probably be the team's only options at center should Biedrins leave town.
