Haslem felt like he could play again during the regular season, but there was no need to bring him back with the Heat owning the worst record of the regular season. This offseason should be an interesting one for Haslem. Fellow power forward-type Shawn Marion has a player option to opt out of his contract, but is expected to return to Miami. The Heat will also very likely have a chance at selecting Kansas State power forward Michael Beasley, who is projected to be the best overall player in the NBA draft this summer.
