The Houston Chronicle reports that the Rockets aren't worried about Yao Ming (foot) coming back to play for China in the Olympics. "We're going to be looking at him before he goes," head coach Rick Adelman said. "Hopefully, he'll be on the floor actually playing basketball during that time frame before he goes. I think by the time he goes there, he should be ready to go." (Updated 05/08/2008).
Injury Report
Foot - Expected to be ready for 2008-09 training camp (Updated - 5/3/08)
Fantasy Analysis
If he's ready to play for China this August in the Olympics, that obviously means he'll be ready for training camp -- barring injury. Fantasy owners will want to keep tabs on Yao over the offseason and in the Olympics to see how he fares after the stress fracture that ended his season. He'll have a ton of pressure to perform in Beijing while defending the host nation and could be pushed pretty hard. Considering his injury-plagued recent history, that may lead to some negative consequences for the elite No. 1 Fantasy center. (Updated 05/08/2008).
