Maggette signed by Warriors: The Golden State Warriors signed high-scoring free agent Corey Maggette on Thursday. A person with knowledge of the deal previously told The Associated Press that Maggette would be signed to a 5-year contract worth around $50 million. (Updated 07/10/2008).

Fantasy Analysis
Maggette, a 6-foot-6 swingman who led Los Angeles in scoring last season, should fit well into Golden State coach Don Nelson's fast-paced style of play. He averaged 22.1 points, 5.6 rebounds and 2.7 assists last season for the moribund Clippers, finishing slightly off his career highs in all three categories. The team is looking for a way to make up for Davis' 21.8 ppg and Maggette fits that. He may or may not start, but that's no big deal in Golden State, where Nelson's lineups are the most whimsical in the NBA. Stephen Jackson is a proven scorer himself and was one of just three players that was a constant in the starting lineup last season. Expect both players to see significant playing time with Nelson playing small lineups a lot of the time. (Updated 07/10/2008).
