Wright shows some flashes as a rookie: Hornets F Julian Wright averaged just 3.9 points, 2.1 rebounds and 0.7 as a rookie, but showed some great athletic ability in games in which he saw a good amount of playing time. He averaged a season-high 19.2 minutes in 13 games during March and averaged 7.3 points, 3.2 rebounds and 1.0 assists. His best game came on March 7 against New Jersey when he shot 8-for-9 from the field and scored a career-high 20 points with eight rebounds. (Updated 05/08/2008).

Fantasy Analysis
Wright looks to have a future in this league, but the Hornets will have to find him ample playing time before he can become a Fantasy contributor. With Peja Stojakovic at small forward, that will be difficult in 2008-09. What Fantasy owners should hope for is for head coach Byron Scott to move Peja to shooting guard to replace the unproductive Morris Peterson/Bonzi Wells combination, creating a slot for Wright at small forward. That's a pipe dream for now, but Fantasy owners should still take a flier on Wright. (Updated 05/08/2008).
