Toronto (52-51) moved back above .500 Friday for the first time since June 13, when they were 35-34.

It took a four-game winning streak to accomplish that feat, but the Blue Jays are in a tough division to be scrambling around the .500 mark.

The Blue Jays are still looking up at two 60-game winners in their division in Tampa Bay (60-42) and Boston (60-44). And the big spenders in Major League Baseball, the New York Yankees, have gone on a seven-game winning streak to reach their current 57-45 record.

So even with the modest success, the Blue Jays may be sellers from now until the non-waiver trade deadline next Thursday.

The most rumored name on the Blue Jays' roster is right-handed pitcher A.J. Burnett. He is high-priced at $12 million a year through the 2010 season but he can opt out of his contract after 2008 and can block deals to 15 clubs.

Still, when Burnett took the mound last Wednesday, scouts from 15 teams watched him pitch. He won at Baltimore, allowing one earned run on six hits over five innings with no walks and seven strikeouts. Burnett has an 11-9 record and a 4.73 earned run average.

BLUE JAYS 5, MARINERS 4 (10 innings): Toronto caught a break in the bottom of the 10th inning Friday when the normally sure-fielding Ichiro Suzuki did not come up with what turned out to be the game-winning hit.

Joe Inglett lined a two-run single off the glove of Suzuki with the bases loaded to drive in the game-winning run.

Toronto fell behind 4-3 in the top of the 10th on Jeremy Reed's RBI single.

Jesse Carlson (3-1) earned the win despite allowing the go-ahead run in the top of the 10th.

(POLL) The Blue Jays are in Baltimore to face the O's in a 4 game set. The Jays have a chance to cement the Orioles in the AL East basement with a series sweep. And the way the pitching matches up, its very possible.

This is a little game done on a bunch of NFL boards...

Answer true or false to the statement that the person above you posted and then say a statement yourself for the next person to answer.  Doesn't have to be Jays only, feel free to make statements about other teams or players (especially if it is funny or bashes them in any way.)

I'll kick 'er off;

(POLL) Jays have been playing much better as of late and look to keep it going against the lowly Mariners. The bats have shown some life recently also, especially Lyle Overbaby and Adam Lind.

Here's how the pitching matches up...
