--OF/DH Jonny Gomes isn't getting much playing time so he is trying to take advantage of what he does get. He worked his way into the middle of their first three rallies Monday and scored three runs.

--C Dioner Navarro has been a quiet key to the Rays' success, and with three more hits Monday raised his average to .362.
--Manager Joe Maddon said the co-MVPs of the first six weeks of the season would be reliever J.P. Howell and shortstop Jason Bartlett. "J.P. has really held the entire bullpen together, and Bartlett's really solidified our defense," Maddon said.

Amazing how quickly the message board trolls Goat and Tom Terrific disappear and vanish into thin air when the Rays perform in their usual strong and winning ways. It just makes me laugh - they are like bandwaggon fans, but working in a negative fashion, lol... gotta feel a little sorry for them.
I don't understand what is with the Devil Rays, when yall sweep us this board is going crazy how yall are winning the division. Then after tonight when we are within a half game of yall, yall will truely shut up. Funny how all these supposed Devil Ray fans do all this trash talkin when yall are winning and now there hasnt been a new thread

The Rays have lost 7 in a row they need to change things up a bit how about calling up David Price this guy is a future ace! In AA (double a) David Price has a 4-0 record with a 1.38 ERA 26 innings and 22 strikeouts in four starts, in A ball he went 4-0 with a 1.82 ER
I took my father to his first professional baseball game in 30 years, the Rays v. Royals (game 4), and we haven't won a game since. I can't hep but think I jinxed it...
Or maybe we just need to put a bat to a fastball once in a while..
