RHP Keith Foulke (neck stiffness) went on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to April 11. He began a minor league rehab assignment May 5, and was activated May 9.
OF Chris Denorfia (lower back stiffness) was unavailable May 7. With the A's needing roster spots in the coming days, he might end up on the disabled list, or he might be sent down if he is healthy.
RHP Rich Harden (mild subscapularis strain in back) went on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to April 3. He began a rehab assignment with Class AAA Sacramento on May 1, and he returned to the A's rotation on May 11.
3B Eric Chavez (right shoulder surgery in September 2007, lower back surgery in October 2007, left shoulder surgery in November 2007) opened the season on the 15-day disabled list, and he was transferred to the 60-day DL on April 24. Chavez took batting practice on April 25, and he fielded grounders for the first time on April 30. Chavez could start a rehab assignment on May 15.
OF Travis Buck (shin splints) went on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to April 19. He began a minor league rehab assignment with Class AAA Sacramento on May 3. Buck was activated May 11 and optioned to Class AAA Sacramento.
RHP Kiko Calero (torn right rotator cuff) opened the season on the 60-day disabled list. He is attempting to rehab his shoulder without surgery.

Personally, I like either Gio Gonzalez or Kirk Saarloos. Gonzalez has been doing okay in AAA and might be ready for some Show experience (since we are apparently looking beyond this season now)
