Braun blasts another pair; Brewers handle Cardinals
Ryan Braun hit two home runs for the second successive game, and St. Louis Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina and manager Tony La Russa were ejected from the Milwaukee Brewers' 8-3 victory Monday night.

La Russa likes young Cardinals' willingless to learn game - St. Louis Post-Dispatch

On the day that Tony La Russa signed a two-year contract extension to remain as Cardinals manager, we sat in his office to discuss his decision to return.

Has there been any news about a possible suspension or fine for Molina.  I completely agree with his arguement.  As Wainright said "that was awesome."  I couldnt belieive it he is normally a calm player with not to much flare but he had seen enough.  Let me know if there has been any talk or if the commishoners office has even said anything.

With Jason Isringhausen struggling, what should the Cards do about the ninth inning?

SD released him....injury prone, batting under 200.  Think ol Jimmy is done?  If so, he had a GREAT career.  I hope he retires a Cardinal.  (One day contract)

I hate to say it, but Izzy is killing us.  Adam Wainright's last outing, when he had a shutout going until Izzy blew it.  That is bad stuff!  Now we have lost our last 5 out of 6 games.  How will the Cardinals handle this?  Will it keep going in a downward spiral?  Or will they bounce back?

I have never seen anything like that tonight.  Throws out one of the fastest guys in the National League just in front of the warning track in center  on a tag up.  Then throws a runner out trying for a triple from the wall in left center.  UNBELIEVABLE!!!  The man has a cannon for a left arm.  Threw 2 strikes from the outfield, he couldn't have ran up and handed the ...(more)

The demotion of Anthony Reyes exhausted the righthander's final option and the two are headed toward divorce. All that remains is whether the split will be amicable or contentious. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports the Cardinals now envision him as "insurance" should the current rotation experience a breakdown before any of the other injured starters return.
