If the Mariners find some way to take sole possession of the cellar; the worst team in baseball, by losing to the woeful Padres...what should we do?

First off, the likelihood of the Mariners making the playoffs this year are unlikely but I think you can salvage some of the season while actually improving for the coming years.  I do think that they could get back into it but they need to start fixing this now!  Here is what should be done to improve this team now!

We have guys in our line up that have an average og 150 ( Clement) and a 154 (Vidro) two guy that I would not let play on my softball team, we need to go and get a couple bats that are also team leaders before this season is a total loss, come on ... and fire the coach, I can coach better than he is, my god he is bad. and get rid of big bill also

So have all you Mariner fans that have said Ibanez is not bad in LF finally going to admit that he's a disaster yet?  I mean come on Even that first drop he had lead to yet another run that never should have happened.  He had a sure enough  double play in the making and he bungles that too.  Let's not forget that Filix had to throw another 13 extra pitches  and ...(more)

The Dayton Daily News speculates that Mariners president Chuck Armstrong wants Ken Griffey Jr. and sent special assistant Duane Shaffer to Shea Stadium to check out Griffey.
