Hudson stifles Bucs, earns doubleheader split for Braves
Tim Hudson limited Pittsburgh to two hits and an unearned run over seven innings and the Braves halted their seven-game road losing streak and the Pirates' six-game winning streak with an 8-1 victory in the second game of a doubleheader Monday.

Now is the Time to trade Nady

Trade him while his value is at its peak. The current team is not going to win so they can stockpile some prospects if the trade is even. With Mclouth, Mccutcheon, and Bay they have three outfielders. Mccutcheon is tearing up in the minors and needs to be called up soon. They need a third basemen badly because I don't think ...(more)

JVB Demoted Following Loss

Van Benschoten was sent back down to AAA and his replacement is to be named tomorrow. Assuming the Pirates are going to stick with Dumatrait as a Starter for the time being I would venture to guess they will bring up another arm for middle to long relief and my money is on either ...(more)

Usually .500 around this time is out of the picture but now we are somehow doing this. Another surprising thing is our division, I thought this record would at least be enough for 3rd. I don't know how either, some our pitchers are struggling and our offense isn't the best ever. Nady and mclouth look good though. Just think if we won today we'd be 19-19.

15-19 A Lot Better than Deserved

John Van Benschoten sent down

John Van Benschoten was sent down after the game yesterday. His replacement will be named today. I think this is a good move. He needs to pitch more often and he needs to start for now. He is 28 now....when will he no longer be a prospect and become a bust?
