Angels OF Garret Anderson didn't start Saturday against left-handed SP Scott Kazmir even though he had seemingly corrected his slump in the previous series with three RBI. Anderson is hitting .154 (4 for 26) against left-handers this year. The Angels placed 3B Chone Figgins on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to May 4, with a strained right hamstring after losing 2-0 at Tampa Bay on Saturday night. Figgins is hitting .306 with seven RBI and 11 stolen bases in 32 games this season, but missed his sixth straight game Saturday. "He's making progress, but not enough to where you're projecting to play him anytime next week," Angels manager Mike Scioscia said.
