Wagner pitches in and out of jams: Mets closer Billy Wagner got a four-out save in Saturday's win at the Yankees. He came on in the bottom of the eighth inning with a two-run lead and a runner on second base. He got out of the inning by retiring the first batter he faced and then allowed the first two batters to reach in the bottom of the ninth, but pitched out of the jam by getting a fly ball, a ground out and a strikeout to end the game. It was his ninth save of the season.
