Fantasy Analysis
Tomko has now lost two of his last three starts and has allowed 11 earned runs in 9 2/3 innings during those losses. Tomko has allowed five or more runs five times in 2008. Tomko has made some nice starts, but as soon as K.C. finds an alternative arm, don't be surprised if Tomko is bounced from the rotation. He is nothing more than a risky AL-only Fantasy SP. His next scheduled start is for Monday at Toronto. He is on track to be a two-start pitcher Fantasy Week 9 (May 26-June 1) with his second start coming against the Indians. Tomko has not faced the Blue Jays in 2008 and is 0-1 with a 13.50 ERA against Cleveland. (Updated 05/22/2008).
Tomko gave up six runs and nine hits as the host Royals fell, 6-5, to Baltimore on Saturday. (Updated 05/11/2008)
Advice
