Bay deal apparently dead now: Contrary to earlier reports, the Rays have not agreed to deal Reid Brignac and Jeff Niemann for Jason Bay. MLB.com had two sources saying the deal would be completed, but now the deal appears dead on another all-smoke no-fire trade deadline.
