Fantasy Analysis
Yabu went on the DL on July 20 after giving up four runs over a span of 3 1/3 innings. He is 3-4 with a 3.64 ERA this season, and is nothing more than a low-end middle reliever for the deepest of NL-only leagues that use true middle men. Before being optioned in early July, Sadler had a 4.94 ERA in 24 relief appearances. In his past five outings with the Fresno Grizzlies, he tossed seven innings, allowing seven hits and two runs. Sadler also has very minimal Fantasy value. Romo and Matos should both be ignored while in the minors. (Updated 08/06/2008).

Advice
Yabu was 3-4 with a 3.64 ERA in 40 appearances before going on the DL on July 20 with a strained middle finger on his pitching hand. He threw a bullpen session this week and the Giants wanted to see how he responded before making a move.
