The Sports Xchange reports that Howie Kendrick and Chone Figgins continue to test their injured hamstrings in pregame workouts. Kendrick could resume his minor league injury-rehabilitation assignment soon but most likely not before the end of this weekend, according to Angels manager Mike Scioscia. Figgins will be eligible to come off the disabled list next week as well, but Scioscia said the team has not decided if he will need to go on a rehab assignment first as he has not been out of action as long as Kendrick has. (Updated 05/16/2008).
Injury Report
Hamstring - 15-day DL. Out until at least late May (Updated - 5/16/08)
Fantasy Analysis
Kendrick has been out of action since April 14 and was looking like he was close to a return when he had three hits in a rehab game two weeks ago at Single-A Rancho Cucamonga. Two of the hits were home runs, but he felt a twinge in the hamstring while running the bases after his single. It's probably best for Fantasy owners to keep Kendrick reserved until he officially comes back without any lingering issues. Kendrick is a solid Fantasy 2B when healthy for his ability to post a .300-plus average. (Updated 05/16/2008).
