Bonser struggling in every role: The Twins moved right-hander Boof Bonser to the bullpen because of his ineffectiveness as a starter. The problem, is he hasn't been much better in relief, if at all, according to The Sports Xchange. Bonser moved to the bullpen at the start of June and has now appeared in six games as a reliever, but only one of those outings -- his first -- was a scoreless one. "The big thing with him is getting him used to getting loose a little quicker, not having to throw so many pitches out there," manager Ron Gardenhire said. "We talked to (bullpen coach Rick Stelmaszek) about making sure he can get heated up. Maybe that's loosening up an inning or two early, playing catch between innings." (Updated 06/20/2008).

Fantasy Analysis
In 8 2/3 innings of work from the bullpen, Bonser has surrendered 10 runs on 19 hits for a 10.38 ERA. Bonser entered the season as a Fantasy sleeper, but he clearly isn't consistent enough to trust right now outside of deeper AL-only leagues, if the Twins even give him another start, which doesn't appear likely.
