Indians OF Shin-Soo Choo, recovering from elbow surgery last September, is expected to begin a rehab assignment at Triple-A Buffalo Wednesday. "Everything sounds good right now," manager Eric Wedge said. "His bat speed is good, he's swinging the bat well, he's moving around well in the outfield, and his arm's working good. You don't want to get giddy with it, but he's on target." (Updated 05/12/2008).
Injury Report
Elbow - 15-day DL. Expected to begin Triple-A rehab assignment May 14 (Updated - 5/12/08)
Fantasy Analysis
Choo might need all 20 days for rehab down at Buffalo, but once he is back with Cleveland, he will need to prove himself since he is out of options. Choo has the potential to help the Indians as a reserve outfielder this season, but he is nothing more than a deeper AL-only reserve at that point. Ignore him while he is rehabilitating and on the DL. (Updated 05/12/2008).
