Teixeira was red hot from mid-April to the end of the month, and has kind of settled into another funk in May. He has hit safely in just four of 10 games. The back spasms might have something to do with it, but likely not a big part. Teixeira is struggling to get his average close to .300, but do you really want to be the person that sits him and watches him explode for monster numbers? Didn't think so.
