Cuddyer's hand normal, but still painful: According to The Sports Xchange notes: RF Michael Cuddyer's CT scan on his left hand showed no bone abnormalities, the team announced. Cuddyer had an injection in his knuckle and tendon sheath in an effort to alleviate the pain he has been experiencing. The outfielder has been on the disabled list since June 30 (retroactive to June 28) with what has been diagnosed as a strained tendon in his left index finger, but the pain from the finger has moved into Cuddyer's palm and hasn't subsided. (Updated 07/23/2008).
Injury Report
Finger - 15-day DL. Out until at least early August (Updated - 7/20/08)
Fantasy Analysis
Cuddyer is out until at least early August and perhaps mid-August at this point. There is pop and potential in his bat, but you will have to wait weeks, not days, before you can consider him for your Fantasy lineup again. (Updated 07/23/2008).
