Wilson on the DL, perhaps for the season, manager Ron Washington said veteran LHP Eddie Guardado would take over as closer. RHP Frank Francisco, who has a 1.71 ERA since June 18, will take over Guardado's previous role as eighth-inning setup guy. RHP Jamey Wright will get the seventh, and RHP Josh Rupe will swing between the sixth and seventh. RHPs Dustin Nippert, Joaquin Benoit and Warner Madrigal, who pitched 3 2/3 scoreless innings Wednesday, give the Rangers a trio of long relievers. (Updated 08/07/2008).
