Castillo moves closer to return: According to The Sports Xchange notes: 2B Luis Castillo (strained left hip flexor) is getting closer to being activated from the DL, as he is a combined 1-for-4 with two walks in two rehab games with Class A St. Lucie. However, manager Jerry Manuel said he wouldn't just insert Castillo back in the lineup. (Updated 08/07/2008).

Castillo, on the disabled list with a strained left hip flexor, was hitting .261 with three homers and 26 RBIs before he was hurt. He's struggled to stay healthy throughout the season with knee, hip flexor and quadriceps injuries forcing him out of the lineup at different times.
