Free-agent INF Marcus Giles won't be trying out for the Dodgers after all, according to the Los Angeles Times. After saying he would go and play for Triple-A Las Vegas for a couple of weeks, Giles got in his car but changed his mind en route to Nevada. "He decided that it just wasn't what he wanted to do," said Giles' agent, Joe Bick. "I don't think he sees himself as a third baseman. The Dodgers were great about it." (Updated 04/02/2008).

Fantasy Analysis
Released by the Rockies last week, Giles was once a Fantasy stud with the Braves, but injuries have derailed his career and he now starts the 2008 season without a club. He is merely a low-end Fantasy reserve when active. Someone might still give him a chance, but he appears set on only playing second base. (Updated 04/02/2008).
