Twins might need No. 5 starter?: If Kevin Slowey (biceps) cannot make a start Sunday and the Twins elect to hold Francisco Liriano back, Philip Humber or Kevin Mulvey could be spot start candidates this weekend. Brian Bass could also be an option to spot start out of long relief. Nick Blackburn looks like he will remain the rotation for the time being.

Fantasy Analysis
Blackburn wants attention in deeper AL-only leagues, while Bass might be a slightly more intriguing middle reliever. Prospect-wise, Mulvey had a better Triple-A debut than Humber, but Humber was a later cut from spring camp and has more pro experience. Take a flier on those two ex-Mets prospects in deeper long-term keeper and AL-only formats just in case.
