A string of five straight solid starts from Derek Holland has not resulted in wins. San Francisco’s inability to have consistency with runs has been a major thorn to its season. It’s a certainty Padres backers will need an extended effort out of its bullpen with Joey Luchessi’s issues beyond five innings.
