Twins starter Ervin Santana has lost a couple of miles an hour off of his fastball, making him a below-average MLB pitcher. He missed the first 12 weeks of the season and has made four starts with an ERA of 6.53. Opponents are hitting .298 against him. This is a prime avlue spot Thursday on the underdog Tigers.

There isn’t much reason to watch AL Central baseball these days, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t value to be found. Ervin Santana has struggled with these Tigers. Current Detroit hitters have posted a wOBA of .353 against him, as well as an OPS of .824. Francisco Liriano starts for Detroit, and the Twins offense has been abysmal against lefties this year. All of which means there’s plenty of value on the Motor City Kitties.
