Tigers starter Justin Verlander still has an overpowering fastball and above-average curveball. He still has great stuff at age 34. Texas starter A.J. Griffin just knows how to win. He is 32-15 in his career, including a 4-0 mark this season. Griffin is far from overpowering though, with a fastball between 86-89 mph and throwing his curveball one out of every four pitches. Both guys are getting the job done and, with a 10-game winning streak for the Rangers on the line Saturday, it adds a little extra pressure to the hitters. Play the Under.

However, Verlander hasn't been at his best this year, with a career-worst 4.7 BB/9 rate, and he's coming off a particularly poor start (6 IP, 4 ER, 5 BB), while Texas starter A.J. Griffin is having a great season so far. I'll take this type of value with this hot Rangers team.

But the road has been where he is at his best, with a 1.38 ERA. I don't care that he's facing Tigers ace Justin Verlander, because Texas is the hottest team in baseball with a 10-game win streak.
