It's Chase Field with the roof open. I can see why other wiseguy groups went against me here. Kyle Freeland has not allowed more than one run in three of his four starts and Robbie Ray has been Arizona's most reliable starter. Well folks, I don't care. Freeland has been very fortunate in his four starts. His XFip ERA is 4.23. He walks almost as many as he strikes out. Robbie Ray has given up eight runs in 11 innings at Chase. Go Over.
Arizona lefty Robbie Ray has long had great stuff, and so far this season has the results to reflect his talent (2-0, 3.42 ERA). But he was a bit shaky in his previous outing, allowing five runs and nine hits to the Dodgers despite picking up a win. But Rockies rookie Kyle Freeland (2-1, 3.32 ERA) looks like a solid prospect and is coming off seven scoreless innings in an 8-0 win over the Giants. Colorado has won six straight series openers, and this underdog payback is too good of a value to pass up.
