The Tigers remain in the AL wild-card hunt, as they are three games out heading into Wednesday's game at Minnesota. Detroit has erupted for 18 runs on 24 hits in winning its last two, and appears to have a situational advantage in the second of a three-game series with the Twins. Tigers starter Matt Boyd (4-2, 3.93 ERA) threw six shutout innings against the Twins on July 18 to pick up his first win of the season and has won his last four decisions overall. Detroit has won eight of 10 against Minnesota this year and should be able to keep its offense going against erratic Twins starter Tyler Duffey (8-9, 5.93 ERA). Duffey lost his only start against the Tigers this season, and is 4-4 with a 6.67 ERA in 11 home starts. The pick'em price makes me a bit cautious here, but all signs point toward Detroit as the value side and the Tigers are my recommendation.
