It's time to get your draft on!
In early February, we started our BIGS Fantasy drafts. The BIGS (Baseball in Grand Scale) is a combination of AL- and NL-only Head-to-Head leagues, where both champions end up facing off in a three-week BIGS World Series in September.
This is a 20-team league (10 in AL and 10 in NL) with the following scoring system: Hitting: Singles (1 pt.), Doubles (2), Triples (3), Home runs (4), Walks (1), Runs scored (1), Stolen bases (1), Grounds into a double-play (-1), Hits for cycle (5) and Hit by pitch (1). Pitching: Wins (10 pts.), Saves (5), Innings (1), Walks issued (-0.5), Hits allowed (-0.5), Earned runs (-1), Strikeouts (1), Quality starts (2), Complete games (5), Shutouts (5) and Relief wins (-5). (Relief wins are minus-5 points since they will get 10 points for a win, which will in turn make a relief win worth just a five points.)
The following draft should give you a idea of where we think certain players will be drafted -- as well as an idea of which players shouldn't be drafted.
