I put our schedule and what I think the odds are of us winning the game next to it in parenthesis. At the bottom would be the odds, based on the predictions I made through very complex algorithms (my head/gut) of the BAdgers winning it all. Are these fair odds? Which ones are too high? Too low? Let me know what you think.

Akron- (97%)

Marshall- (97%)

@Fresno State- (80%)

@Michigan- (75%)

Ohio State- (60%)

Penn State- (73%)

@Iowa- (80%)

Illinois- (83%)

@Michigan State- (75%)

@Indiana- (90%)

Minnesota- (95%)

Cal Poly- (100%)

Undefeated (7.9%)

NC Opponent- (40%)

NCAA Champions (3.2%)

Unfortunately, I think most of those percentages are too high IMO. Particularly since we haven't seen what our defense will be like. I would say to drop all by Akron, Marshall, Cal Poly by 5-10%. Even Cal Poly I would drop to 97%. It's a complete trap game with nothing for UW to gain (unless it's an undefeated regular season.) Do you really feel we have a 40% chance to make it to the national championship by your calculations? I would say more like 5%. National Champions 2%.

I hope you're right in your percentages, I just don't feel quite that confident...yet. : ) Here's hoping.

GO BADGERS!

Judging by the odds I came up for the games, we would have about an 8% chance of going undefeated. Hopefully this would mean we would play for the NC, but I think we would be an underdog in that game, so I put 40% for that game.

Pre season is the time for  unlimited optimism.  My heart tells me that you have made an accurate assessment of the season.  My head tells me best case senario is 10 and 2 with a good chance for a BCS Bowl.  If we split the difference it's 11 and 1 and the Rose Bowl.

Here's what I would change:

Fresno St: 65% - It's going to be a really tough game.

Ohio State: 55% - Nitpicking, but I think this one is pretty much a coinflip.

Michigan St: 60% - Wisconsin will be the favorite, but I'm predicting an upset.

Geezz... those percentages are scary-high, especially the road games (90% at Indiana? 80% at Iowa? 75% at MICHIGAN?)  I don't care IF Michigan lost 80% of their players from last year,  Michigan is still Michigan and when you play them on the road (a place where UW has not done well)......that's a tought win.

When making such percentages, especially on THE ROAD, you have to be careful.  Remember Wisconsin @ Minnesota last year?   We came out with a win by the skin of our _ _ _ from a team that had only one win last year.

A strong Badger Fan I may be, I am not convinced this team is the STUD team I hope to see this season.  Too many injuries and question marks about this team at this point.
