LSU will play at Washington in 2009 and in Tiger Stadium in 2012 vs. the Huskies.  Now I know that this isn't a top team in the Pac 10, but at least LSU is finally making an attempt to play Pac 10 teams.  I believe this opens the door in the future to move up the Pac 10 ranks and schedule the Pac 10 "big boys".... I.E. USC.  Finally instead of only talking about it, now we'll have proof of LSU smoking Pac 10 teams so the country can see the superior team and league, LSU and the SEC.
Are y'all glad LSU decided to do this as well?

but at least LSU is finally making an attempt to play Pac 10 teams.  ?????  What conference do you think Arizona, Arizona St., and Oregon St. are from?  LSU played Arizona as recently as 2006.  Playing Pac teams is not something we haven't done before.  I am glad that we have picked up Washington, though.  Maybe, since this is an away first, people will see that we are willing to play away as we did with Arizona and Arizona St., even though that one was originally scheduled as a home game, if I remember correctly.

Oops... sorry about that.  I didn't notice that I messed up.  I meant to say "more Pac 10 teams."  They played Arizona in 2006, but LSU hasn't made an attempt to schedule more since then.

You say LSU hasn't made an attempt to schedule Pac 10 teams, but that works both ways. Is it that the Pac 10 teams are avoiding making the games happen. Just asking?

I've lived in Washington State for the last 14 years....the Huskies are a traditional Pac-10 power and have the most resources outside of USC and they are the last non-USC National Champion out of the Pac-10...they started an outstanding Frosh QB last year and he'll be a Jr. with 2 full years experience when we play there....this won't be an easy game and Husky stadium can be very loud and lively.

People can say what they want but Washington is no where near the upper echilon of college teams.  Back in the 90's you could have argued that they were but those days have fallen by the wayside.  I am glad we put them on the schedule because now I get to plan a trip to Seattle but honestly, it will have very little significance.  Put Cal, Oregon, USC on the schedule and then talk about a real game.  The Huskies could sneak out a win but it will only be because we walked in unprepared to start the season.  And I just dont see Miles letting that happen....

You never know how good the Huskies will be in 2012. Sometimes you schedule teams that are on top, and by the time you play them they are average....look at Oklahoma scheduling Miami. Washington is a team that has a good chance of being Pac-10 Champs in 2012.
