It's basketball, the refs are going to miss calls both ways, quit whining.

As long as Jerry Sloan has been the coach, the Jazz have had the most physical and probably the dirtiest team in the league. You can't have it both ways Jazz fans.

During the regular season, the Jazz committed 24 fouls per game (most in the league), to the Lakers 20.6. About 3.5 more fouls per game. In this series, the Jazz have committed 30 fouls per game to the Lakers 24. So yeah, the Jazz have a bigger discrepency in the playoffs.

What I haven't seen anyone mention is that the Jazz have committed oodles of 'stop-the-clock' fouls down the stretch in the games they lost.

So, all the Jazz whiners got me to countin'...

The Jazz have been called for 16 fouls in the last two minutes of their losses, compared to seven in two losses for the Lakers. I understand it's mostly due the nature of each team's losses.

But, if you adjust the total number of fouls by subtracting the stop-the-clock fouls, the Jazz average 27 and the Lakers 23. Hmm, both teams are about 3 fouls per game over their average.

Were the Jazz fans crying all year long about how many fouls they've been called for? How about for the last 20 years when I'm sure they've always been at the top (or bottom) of the league in fouls called. I doubt it.

I suspect it's just another case of frustrated fans grasping for excuses. Quit crying and lose with dignity.

Look guys, I have no pony in this race.  If L.A. wins it could spell Boston vs L.A., the whole reason I am an NBA fan.  I would enjoy that finals.  Same goes for Utah.  Whatever.  As a fan of either team you can enjoy a great series, which I am.  It has been very competitive.  This is my point as an outsider looking in (and all of you with a pony in this race factually cannot be objective), the officials have been dictating which team can be agressive, to this point they have been giving the nod to the home team.  I think it is lousy.  Now fitting in that the officials have not "taken away" a game from any team, credit has to be given that each team has recognized and capitalized to the fullest.  I post only as a fan of the game and not with an agenda for Utah or L.A.  It is easy when you are winning to see the officials as fair, and need to move on, on the flipside when you are losing the difficulty lies in discerning that the officials arent out to get you, and there has to be lattitude.  Having watched the L.A. Jazz series my opinion is that the Lakers are being allowed to be the more agressive team..... and to their credit in many cases they are capitalizing.

Im Confused Utah fan. On one hand your complaining that  the refs shouldn't decide the game. And then on the other your complaining that the Refs SHOULD have called a foul on Gasol.

Last time I checked the players decided the game. When OKUR couldn't box out and flopped and Gasol got it and Jammed it.

What is it.......Jeez Louise
