9iners fans always make me laugh...
Before you guys go over about how you did in the offseason and how we will crumble and all that crap, consider these points:
1. You added another load of recievers in the offseason with Issac Bruce and Bryant Johnson, but what makes you think they will adjust to Martz's scheme that quickly. Remeber D-Jack last year? Any of these guys can have slumps over the next season.
2. Another thing, when you added all thse recievers, that also makes your QB Alex Smith having a bit of a challange to find a reciever he knows really well. If you don't know what I mean, just ask our QB Matt Hasselbeck. He's been with Bobby Engram for at least 4 years and this connection is key to the QB. He once said he could "throw to Bobby [Engram] with his eyes closed" So tell me who can Alex Smith trust this season as his primery reciever?
3. Speaking of Alex Smith, this guy is looking more like Ryan Leaf every year! You already have at least 3 offensive coordiantors in 3 seasons with Martz being the next, and that makes it harder for him to adjust every year. He is a gamble to play with every Sunday, he dosen't have a lot of weapons and his o-line is terrible. You can't win with Simth at QB, simple as that.
4. O-Line Sucks. I have the up most respect for Larry Allen, but the rest are crappy. Remeber Rocky Benard Last year? Yeah, he was the guy who just sidelined your QB straight up the middle of the line! You have Frank Gore, but a crappy O-Line is going to derail any good back any day. Just ask Shaun Alexander.
5. Other than Nate Clements and Patrick Willis on your Defense, I can't think of a good playmaker. Defense wins championships my friends.
6. The 49iners are out of their league. The Seahawks, you guys know of course, but I still think St Louis will beat you guys to second first. Even The Cardinals can have a better chance at second place then you guys.
