	Mets call up Vargas and Wise and designate Sosa and Figueroa for assignment. I think this is the right move as Vargas can go a little deeper into games while giving up a run or two less than either Sosa or Figueroa. The deal was probably sealed with Figueroa's comments yesterday...

	I'm guessing Figueroa's performance had more to do with it than his comments. Since Sosa was out of options, does this mean he can refuse the assignment & become a free agent? That may be a good thing. I'm glad they kept Smith on the roster.

	Replace Willie! Getting hard to watch.... He's a spectator manager...never makes things happen. How long before he's gone...any guesses, or do we have to wait until we have another disappointing year...I hope not.

	If they are over .500, Willie's job is safe until the off season. If they don't make the playoffs, especially by a large margin, or if they somehow have a good sized lead (not looking likely - but its only middle may) and blow it again, he'll have to get his resume ready.

	I think this was a great move. Sosa just sucks period and Figgy you cant really count on him yea he had 2 good starts for the Mets. But that was it and put him in the pen is not good.

	I called it yesterday with Sosa. Figueroa surprises me a bit, hopefully Pagan will be back soon. He's a great utility guy.

	These moves had to be made but it's a shame that Vargas is our best option for tonites game. He pitched really poorly for us last year and isn't exactly tearing it up in the minors so far this season. The boys really need to swing the bats tonite in order to compensate for his probable performance. I don't think we've seen the last of Figueroa either, he'll be back soon. As far as Sosa is concerned I hope he and his down the middle slider take a hike.
