I have a feeling we are not far away from seeing LaPorta...What does everyone think?

I think only if there is an injury to one of the position players. Because right now the Brewers already have 2 OF on the bench in Kapler & Gwynn

Unless there's an injury I don't think we see him until September - there's nowhere to play him.  I'd rather keep him on the farm and let him get regular at bats.

To me, wouldn't the more intelligent thing be to move him up to AAA first?  He's doing a lot of damage for our AA affiliate so let's move him up a notch and see how he does against the next level of competition.

I think we might see him get a shot up here for the Brewers interleague portion of the schedule but without an injury to another OF, I don't think we'll be seeing him as a permanent fixture on this seasons squad....unless we move Braun back to 3rd and clear out Bill Hall's locker.  I know it's a rash decision and not a good one, but that about sums up my discontent with Bill Hall.

I agree with everyone else to put him in the big's right now would take away a lot of his playing time and that's not a good thing. I also think you keep him in AA let him finish the season there and next year we put him in AAA and see how he does. Game is all about confidence let him build it up in AA.

Where do we put him? He'd be a bench player if he got called up right now, it's a lot better to have him playing everyday. If there's an injury to an outfielder or Fielder he'll be here, otherwise I would guess September. I can see him as a full time player as soon as next season. I think they learned their lesson from Braun about not waiting on guys too long when you could have them sooner. If he continues to rake and does well in spring training next season I think he'll be our everyday left fielder

I really don't think that we will see Matt LaPorta at all this season. He is successful right now in AA. He also is only 23 years old. Honestly, I think he could be a HUGE part of the Milwaukee Brewers near future. If Prince is gone next year, I would think that they might think about bring LaPorta up to play first base. Unless if they move Braun back to third. But then what do you do with Bill Hall? Release him? I'm really not sure right now. But I do think that we will be seeing Matt LaPorta in the near future. I like this kid.

Brewers just lost. drop to 17-19. Tough loss when we had a prime opportunity to take the lead after being down 3-0. To bad that we can't capitalize to often in these situations. And I really do think that Ned Yost will be gone next season for sure. If not earlier. That squeeze play looked like it was on, and somebody missed a sign. And it all comes back to the skipper, Ned Yost. Too Bad.

You will see Matt LaPorta in September, when the rosters expand.  Unless you want to go to Huntsville.  Or did he get bumped to AAA recently?  THought I'd heard that.

I was looking at the Huntsville AA roster last night. They still had him on the roster, for now anyways. He's got a .333 BA with 10 dongers and 35 RBI's I think. But I wouldn't mind seeing him playing in the big leagues anytime soon.
