The guy who made this video at the bottom of the article had all access to the Blue & Gold game and footage of Weis saying, "To hell with Michigan".
Gotta love that fire from Weis. Hopefully the team has the same fire this season. And this quote is the best, "I could get hoodlums and thugs and win tomorrow,'' Weis said. ''I won't do it that way." He's not taking the route that LSU, Miami and I could go on and on take every season. He recruits quality athletes and exceptional students.
What do you guys think of the quote about Michigan? Personally, I couldn't have said it better myself. TO HELL WITH MICHIGAN.

This comment will sound much better after beating Michigan in the fall. Until then, it is making me cringe... just a little. While I love tough talk, it is hard to listen to all this poster board material when you are 3-9 and can't back it up, at least that was the case last season. Lets hope this season is better.
That said, CW plans to answer critics by putting a quality team on the field. I like the fact that he does not give excuses, and expectations are always high - even when, last year, he had to know that he was going to go through a lot of growing pains. I, for one, am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt that last year was an aberration, and we will see high quality football from here on out. Go Irish!

Here is my question for you Irish fans. Why the hell would Weis do this? Wouldn't you rather fly under the radar and do your talking after the game? The fact is that Weis has gotten absoultely crushed by Michigan the last 2 years. In 2007, the number of times he crossed the 50 against Michigan was less than the number of meals he skipped for the year (hard to believe, I know).
Lou Holtz would never do something as foolish as this. What is Weis going to say when Michigan beats ND by 20+ next year?

i just don't understand Weis only concentrating on Michigan. there were many things that went wrong for The Irish last year, not just UM.
Weis used a similar tactic before the 2006 game, which ended badly. last season, he was more diplomatic(though both programs were 0-2 at the time and facing widespread scrutiny).
it would be different if RR and/or the UM players were taunting ND or giving rabble-rousing speeches at the Spring Game but they weren't. the only thing thats been promised is that the Wolverines will play hard and be in top physical shape.
i wonder why such bold declarations weren't made about USC, BC, MSU, PSU or the Service Academies. they're annual rivals as well.

All that Weis was doing was pointing out the obvious--that when Michigan gets beat this season they are going to say it was because they have a new coach and a new system...TO HELL WITH MICHIGAN.

Actually Weiss and ND came into the Big House and beat #3 Michigan his first season, so NO, ND fans haven't made that same argument.
And Weiss may be overweight, but at least he's loyal to his players and the university, unlike that disloyal scumbag Rodriquez, who tells a high school recruit he is leaving before his own players at WV...and doesn't get Pryor anyway...lmfao. Then he comes to Michigan and players are transferring left and right. Rodriquez is a BUM... and we'll see how well his OVERRATED spread offense does with only a few players currently on his team suited to play in it.
TO HELL WITH MICHIGAN. WE ARE ND.
