TZ, I wish I could share your optimism about the sweep, I really do.  I mean, if the Lakers were to accomplish that, and go 8-0 to get themselves to the WCF - that would be so ridiculously huge that it would almost be too hard to comprehend.

I just can't help but thinking that, as good as the Lakers have played to take these first two games, Deron Williams is going to finally shake himself free of Fisher's hold on him to get himself and his teammates off early and often when the series resumes in Utah.  You could see him already snapping out of the funk that Derek was enveloping him in during his 3rd qtr explosion.  D. Will is too good to allow that to continue (with all due respect to Fisher, to whom I would've awarded the Game 2 ball to.)

I see the Lakers splitting in Utah and taking the series in 5 games upon their return to L.A. next Wednesday night.  The only way I can possibly see the Lakers win both games in Utah is if the Jazz fans do something really stupid to begin Game 3 - like booing Fisher from the outset.  If that happens, then all bets are off and I wouldn't be surprised at all if Kobe were to go totally postal and drop a bomb on everyone and everything in a sky-blue uniform.

I agree with you one hundred percent Jefe, just one difference.  I think the Lakes will take game 4 not game 3.  of course if the Jazz fans boo fish again  it could do something, but Kobe could still have juice in the tank from last visit.  One thing that is pissing me off is that lots of jazz fans believe that the series will go to seven games.  no I dont think so 5 games six games tops and im hoping for a sweep.  Lakers are just to powerful.  we have lost the rebound game both times and still win by ten or more.  come on  that is huge.  whatever   they will soon see.

Fish is the starting line-ups 2nd best defensive player.  If D Will starts getting hot - guess who will start guarding him ... the NBA's MVP.

We haven't see Kobe go postal in this series yet ... the two games at Staples were ho-hum with his play since the team was playing so well.  The Jazz will think they limited Kobe tonight by their defensive play against him but Kobe didn't push the subject like he normally does ... just look at his 4th quarter stats - it was down as we were milking the clock.

I see Kobe dropping a double nickel in Game 3 against them as he will push the team in grabbing the Jazz by the throat and then bust their backs Sunday on national TV.

Then the team will sit back and wait for the Spurs/Hornets to finished their 6/7 game series.

I hope you're right TZ, I really do - we'll see come Friday.  It's obvious that we simply haven't seen the Jazz at their best yet - we've seen flashes of it in these first two games, but the question remains: is that a direct result of our defensive presence, or are they essentially hindering themselves?

Obviously Game 3 is the key for them - if the Jazz are unable to regain the form that won them their division and fail to turn this series around on their home court on Friday night, if they fail to effectively disrupt the Lakers passing game (which has pretty much allowed the Lakers to have their way offensively) and the LA wins Game 3, then it's over.
