Mr. Dodd is a bit uninformed in Pac 10 Domination-

I posit the following Teams are all worthy of a TOP 15 or Top 20 Consideration....

Oregon... They will put up huge Numbers in 2008!!

Oregon State... Good Defense....will NOT lose a HOME game in 2008!!

Az State... Even better than 2007... but DEFENSE and RB's/ OL  are ????

2008 Contender????  California.....

Which Team will Contend with USC for Pac 10 Title???

I would say ASU will contend with USC this season and for many more. As for your commit on our RB's being ??  shows what little you know of Sundevil football.  This is our strongest RB class in decades and our Defense is loooking good.  I will give you one for the O-line but hell we didn't have one last year either.

My biggest concern is playing Georgia, Cal, Usc,and Oregon back to back thats a strech any team would struggle with. I will be very happy if we can win 3 of these games.  I still think we're a year or 2 away but this will be a fun season.

Good luck USC!!  I do believe the Pac-10 is footballs best Conf.

I'm gonna go with Arizona State though I think Oregon could contend for the title also. Their 2 biggest losses were QB Dennis Dixon and RB Jonathan Stewart. But they have LaGarrett Blount who is a beast and coupled with Jeremiah Johnson, should ease the loss of Stewart. 4-way QB battle so far but as everyone saw in the Sun Bowl, Oregon didn't completely fall off in the QB department, they just needed a few games to prep their 4th string. As long as they have Chip Kelly as an OC they should be fine.

First I agree that these teams deserve consideration in a top 25 list, when was the last time that the PAC ended the year with two teams ranked?  When did we become the WAC?  Second place in the PAC 10 in the high teens is a joke.
But to your question.  If OS does not loose a home game then they beat the Oregon, ASU, Cal and USC.  If we win all those games we will play in the Rose Bowl.  (I hope it happens but I doubt it).  However our offense will be better, we should compete.
BTW since we play all of those teams at home, those are all road games for the ducks, they will drop off.

Wow, someone is a little biased towards Oregon St. The fact of the matter is that OS lost their one threat...... their RB. Now they are going to be forced to throw the ball and heaven forbid that. Oregon played the last 5 games with their 4th string qb and finally put it together in the sun bowl. That is just a preview to what this season holds. Oregon will not only compete for the Pac-10 title, but they will destroy the Beavs this season. Overtime against the fifth string quarterback in the Civil War..... haha.....what a joke.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I would like to introduce you to LaGarrette Blount and Jeremiah Johnson. You thought it was fun watching Dixon and Stewart last year, this tandem will allow the new Oregon QB to ease into that position and keep the defense fresh.

But here is the biggest joke. On sports radio up here in Seattle the Husky fans said they are more concerned with the BYU game at home since the Ducks have a drop off in talent and expect to win in Eugene.

The usual cream will rise to the top of the Pac-10 to give USC a run for the money, but with Oregon's schedule being too brutal with all of those key road games it will not be my Ducks doing the deed if it happens.
