Wow you sure are intelligent. HOwever your post wasn't worth reading as I haven't changed my opinion that Wang is a regular season ace and wouldn't trust him to start an opener for my team in a play off series. Thanks in addition for the unneccesary stats. Do you think anyone gives a rats ass about flyballs ground balls k's etc....? A pitcher has one job and that is to get people out. When the post season comes give me Beckett since you want to make all the comparisons. This post was about Wang and not Beckett anyway. I wasn't making any arguements about Beckett. Check back with me in a few years after Becketts post seaosn stats will obliterate anything that Pettite has put up. Whereas Wang will be just a blip on post season success.

I could care less about Babe Ruth and Buckner they are as much a part of history as all of your memorable teams of the 80's and early 90's. You are just another example of a bitter Yankee fan who can't accept the fact that Boston is now the superior franchise. So take what you think is meaningful and sensible drivle and stick it some place sinc eyou are not interested in honest opinions on a message board. Again, you are probably just bitter that you don't have a true "Ace" on your current team.

Thank you for your long winded Ignorance.

If Wang got more strikeouts, less ground outs, and less double plays, everyone would think of him as an ace. I can't see why you need 180 Ks in a season to be the ace of a pitching staff. Wang has gone 19-6 w/ a 3.63 ERA and 19-7 w/ a 3.71 ERA the past two seasons respectively, and his strikeout total has been rapidly increasing with each passing season. He already is an ace, and if he really is beginning to strike more people out, the ERA may sink to below 3.50 and people will REALLY start to think of him as an ace. He continues to improve.
