I actually think Jamaal will sort of be OK as far as the things you listed.  I don't doubt he'll have some trouble fumbling but his value as a break away runner will help them  overlook some of it.

I'm hopeful Ex-UT and Chief Priest Holmes will be around some and he'll have a positive effect on Jamaal's maturity and the adjustment in the NFL.

What I think is more likely is he'll be injured with his running style. Being a track guy I think he'll take more hits.  Not a good thing. I think he'll have his 15 minutes of fame and be out of the league earlier than most. Three years might be about right.

Reggie Bush provides a perfect look into what is going to happen to Charles.  People that cant run inside, can not be everyday backs in the NFl, their lack of size and strength delegates them to a "specialty" back.  Now you take into account how ineffective Bush was for the saints with a stellar passing attack via Drew Brees, and it amounts to Charles being a very low end option, as he doesnt provide the same open field moves that Bush has, though his speed may be slightly better.  Bottom line, if Vince and Bush cant get to the corner in the pros, Charles isnt getting to the corner, and if he tries to run inside, NFL LBS and DTs will crush him and cause more than a few fumbles.  I wouldnt of drafted him at all, unless you need a punt returner or a guy to come in and run screen plays or other special calls.  Problem with that, every time he comes in its a special play, and scouts know this.  I give him 1 unproductive year, maybe two, before he either is out of the NFL all together or running back kicks on a team with no other options.

I voted for legal troubles. If I could have voted for 2 I would have voted for can't run the rock as well. He is undersized and a one year wounder in college. Maybe if they only had a fourth quarter in the NFL he would make it. I bet it is only a matter of time before he's hangin out on Benson's boat somkin weed with Ricky Williams.

CWood are you retarded, first off J Charles won a NC, and played well in college for 3 years, and the NFL def has 4 quarters.
