What Kansas State team has been the best to ever suit up?

Some people automatically give it to the 1998 team because they were ranked #1 late in the season, but in reality they didn't accomplish much. Sure they reached the pinnacle, but they didn't win any hardware that year.

The 2003 team started off the year with high expectations and championship aspirations, but injuries to key players contributed to a midseason slump. However, they managed to regroup and win the Big XII championship and beat the "greatest" team ever, and lost a close one to Ohio State in the Fiesta Bowl.

The 1997 team played a big role in its run to #1 in 1998. It beat Syracuse in the Fiesta Bowl, and provided plenty of swagger and confidence going into the '98 season.

The 2002 team lost 2 games that year and beat Tennessee in the Cotton Bowl. I believe the 2 losses were to Colorado and Texas by close margins.

The 2000 season was another 11 win season for the Cats. Jonathan Beasley lead the Wildcats, and kept the great tradition of Wildcat Football going.

	98 and 03 are very similar in skill. Both of those teams could have won a national title, but just fell a little short. If they would have had a half way decent back up qb in 03, then I could have seen them easily going all the way. I wish Snyder could have saved a year of eligibility on Dunn.

	If only Michael Bishop wasnt an idiot. we could have beat A&M and probably win a national title.

	While I agree with you we should have won a National title in '98 you can't put all of that on Bishop. The defense did give up a lot of points in the 4th quarter, and a TD in overtime. And with out Bishop would we have been in the postion to be in the Big 12 Championship. I still think 98 was our best year, we should have won a national title.

	Definately 2003, Casey, Terry, Ell, Sprolles, need I say more. Plus with a BIG12 Championship Win, Beating the Sooners who claimed to be indestructable, and then giving Nebraska its worse loss at home other then another Kansas team this year, what a great season with all of that said its no wonder why I picked 03 as one of the best seasons ever. Go Cats!~
