Duke has a big man next season!!! Miles ditched Stanford for Duke! in Two years we get his little brother, but for now we have a 6"10 225 PF to help us inside who plays facing the basket and can rebound. This is great news!
In 2 years....
PG-Nolan Smith
SG-Henderson/Elliott Williams
SF-Kyle Singler
PF-Miles Plumlee 6"10
C-Mason Plumlee 6"11
NICE!!
Of course I would hope for a nice run next season too...

Awesome. This is good news especially with the Taylor King transfer and the rumors about Nolan Smith leaving.

On rivals.com, his video clip says that he's only 6'9'' and he weighs 205lbs. That's a huge big guy. His video also shows that he's more of a jump shooter and occasionally goes inside. A big body is nice though. May be he beefed up to 225lbs this spring.

Does anyone else find this odd that Dawkins goes to Stanford and Plumlee quits Stanford to come to Duke? I'm not trying to say anything at all. I think it's a crazy coincidence that has no explanation. I guess I would just wonder as to Miles vision for his college basketball career? Kind of kooky is all, I guess.

Maybe he ultimately decided he wanted to play with his brother, isn't it a coincidence that he left Stanford that just recently had the Lopez brothers, now Duke will have the Plumlee Brothers...except they're not twins, but both are pretty big.

Wow this made my day. Getting Miles Plumlee is a huge recruiting coup for Duke. Is he the next Christian Laettner, of course no, but he definitely fills a need Duke has. As for if it's a coincidence that he left Stanford for Duke, that just doesn't make sense. He had wanted to decommit from Stanford ever since Trent Johnson left for LSU. Hopefully the Plumlee-Plumlee duo in a couple of years can bring a title back to Durham.

I think Plumlee could come in next year and be the leading rebounder with his hight if he gets a lot of playing time

This really changes the complexion of Duke next year. We have a big man that can rebound, block shots, face up and score, as well as run the floor. Now opponents can't just guard the perimeter and they're big man clean the glass. If Plumlee develops a few back-to-the-basket moves and gets stronger, we'll be a hard team to stop.

I would like to see Jon Scheyer start...the kid has really improved his quickness and I think that by having an actual Center in Miles Plumlee, a PF in Singler, they can just play the three-guard rotation that they usually do. Our reserves are flat out rediculous...it's a wonder more guys didn't transfer (but then again, that's the type of people that Duke recruits - players that want to win). Please, Ty Lawson and Wayne Ellington, leave the NCAA so that Duke can slaughter the Tar Heels. Elliot Williams and Olek Czyz are awesome additions, too.
So much for our issue at down low.
