Well, we lost. We lost bad. But tonight, Brian Burres tries to stretch his scoreless streak to around 20 inning.

PS. Sorry I did not do my part in the thread about career records vs. each other. Tuesday night, I was busy, and last night I was not around a computer.

Yeah, it was a pretty bad lose.  McCroy will hopefully blow this outing off and come back in a better situation and pitch.  I agree that it was a tough situation to be in, but they got to learn someday.

I know there were some base running problems, but this team has to play VERY aggressive in order to be competitive.  Sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't.  I still love the aggressive play.

It looks like we have the better match up today, so hopefully we can take the series this afternoon...............plus I'll be at the game, so it'll be nice to see a win.  I really wanna see a 3 run HR from Jones :)

I actually feel worse for the position Sarfate was put in than McCrory.  Although it sucks that 3 runners McCrory left on all scored.  I don't think it was a bad situation for McCrory to step into at all.  We brought him up to rest the remainder of the 'pen, Albers went six.  I think the reasoning was to let McCrory work 1 or 2, and then our reliable guys would only need to work one or two and be fresh going back out west.  You always want to win every game, but I think it was an almost concession to how well Sonnanstine was pitching.  Figure either McCrory keeps it close and we have a shot to win, or he gives up a couple and we're rested.  Barring the disaster it ended up being, it was win-win.
